The purpose of a trainer is to work with associates during their initial training period (90 days) and those needing special training to assist them in learning proper job functions, safe work habits, rotation procedures and assist them in becoming accustomed to their new job. Trainer will work with Department Coach on making sure new hires are on-boarded properly.
The current open positions are in the following department: DS WPL, DS Dark Meat Debone, DS Debone, NS Cut Up, NS Debone, NS WPL and NS Evisceration
Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Provide on-the-job training for new hires who have no experience in the department and for rehires who need refresher training.
Follow the department establish Training Model.
Move up and down the line to work with any associate who may need help with any job they may be having trouble with.
Provide accurate written documentation on rotations, new hire initial and weekly evaluation forms, ergo improvement forms and method studies.
Perform all jobs regarding timing at predetermined standards.
Conduct one-on-ones to discuss new hires training progress.
Perform all the jobs for demonstration.
Assist with the JPP process, Orientation, New Hire Checklist when needed.
Participate in Associate Engagement activities.
Strong reading, communication, math, writing, and analytical skills are required. High School Diploma or GED preferred
Worked a minimum of 3 months of consecutive work history with one employer within the past 3 years.
Experience in poultry processing/manufacturing environment preferred.
Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements
Classroom environment as well as working with new associates in the various plant environments.
Must have the ability to move throughout the processing plant.
Must wear personal protective equipment as required.
Work activity / office time ratio is 90:10.
