Summary

The Grain Operator will be responsible for operating equipment and maintaining facilities involved in the handling, storage and drying of grain and other products.

This is a day shift position. The standard working days and hours are Monday through Friday from 7:00pm to 3:30pm with occasional weekend work.

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Operate grain probe (hand or automated) and grade grain for all factors

  • Operate grain handling equipment to safely and efficiently receive, ship, transfer and dry grain and other products

  • Safely operate powered industrial mobile equipment

  • Perform inspections and maintenance as required

  • Conduct quality and food safety checks, as established by company policies and procedures

  • Perform housekeeping of all facility areas

  • Perform routine preventative maintenance on equipment within the facility

  • Perform all work within the safety and environmental guidelines established by local, state and federal agencies and Company policies

Minimum Education

High School or equivalent

Experience Requirements

0 -2 years experience. Reading, writing, math dn analytical skills. Basic understanding of standard computer applications.

Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements

Walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, twisting, working with arms above shoulder level. Able to move freely throughout the AgriBusiness facilities to include climbing vertical heights (0 - 150'), carrying tools and equipment (0 – 50 pounds), Exposure to temperatures (0 - 100 Degrees Fahrenheit), humidity, (0 - 100%), noise (50db to 100db), grain dust, and chemicals (MSDS sheets available). Must be able to wear protective equipment as required. May be required to travel to other remote AgriBusiness facilities.
