The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for managing the maintenance activities for Perdue Agribusiness. The Maintenance Manager will provide consultation and guidance regarding maintenance expenditure projects, cost efficiencies, process development, modification and facility maintenance.
Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Lead and manage the maintenance team to include hiring, training, engaging and developing the team to meet the needs of the Department.
Lead and manage the safety programs within maintenance to ensure safe working conditions for all associates and compliance with all local, state and federal requirements.
Lead and manage the environmental programs within maintenance to ensure compliance with all local, state and federal requirements.
Lead and manage the food safety programs within maintenance to ensure compliance with all local, state and federal requirements.
Ensure planning and execution of maintenance activities meet established expectations of operations team and Maintenance Management Team.
Design, develop, establish, and regularly review the long range plans and performance expectations of the maintenance department with the operations team(s) and the maintenance leadership team.
Coordinate with the Maintenance Management Team to establish and regularly review the plans and implementation of the Reliability Improvement program within the facilities.
Manage the corrective, preventive and predictive maintenance programs for assigned assets while maintaining the established protocols of the centralized maintenance department.
BS Degree (Mechanical, Electrical or Agricultural Engineering) preferred. However, applicable experience is a suitable replacement.
10+ years of experience. Experience with maintenance management systems and process. Experience with preventative and predictive maintenance programs. Experience with manufacturing technologies and processes. Experience using standard software application. Strong communication, math, organizational, and analytical skills.
Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements
Able to move freely throughout the facilities to include climbing vertical heights (0 - 150'), carrying tools and equipment (0-50 pounds), exposure to extreme temperatures (0-100 Degrees Fahrenheit), humidity, (0 - 100%), noise (50db to 100db) and chemicals (MSDS sheets available). Must be able to wear protective equipment to include self-contained breathing apparatus. Required to regularly travel to remote AgriBusiness facilities
