As a Condemn Line Lead, you’ll play a crucial role in various aspects of the production line processing poultry product. This position requires working with live poultry and raw products.

The Condemn Lead will be responsible for the daily production of all Condemn Product at the Cromwell facility. This team member will ensure that the product is accurately scaled, scanned in for yield purposes, and disposed of. Additional tasks to ensure tracking compliance may be assigned by the Plant Manager.

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Ensure that all combos and totes are correctly scaled and scanned in for yield tracking purposes.

  • Track daily production and report daily metrics to Cut Up Plant Manager.

  • Adequately communicate Darpro Trailer needs to Cut Up Plant Manager to ensure a continuous communication of trailer needs for the following production day.

  • Report equipment issues or problems found during production runs or PM task to management. Create Service Request for maintenance repairs.

  • Adhere to all safety requirements. Train other production associates and Process Technicians as needed.

  • Assist in CI projects, Maintenance repairs and activities.

  • Ensure scale is calibrated daily.

  • Adheres to all safety requirements including PPE, preventing and reporting unsafe acts and conditions, Lockout-Tagout procedures, and Process Safety Management related matters.

  • Ensures that the qualities of the products are being met according to the product specification of QA and USDA.

  • Maintains a clean and safe working environment.

Minimum Education

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.

Experience Requirements

  • Proficient Microsoft Office experience.

  • Ability to read and write English, as well as understand basic English metrics.

  • Must be forklift certified and LOTO certified.

  • Must have a distinguished understanding of poultry product to ensure that A Grade and B Grade product is not being condemned.

Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements

When in a plant environment:

  • Exposure primarily consists of wet and moist floors which include metal and plastic grating surfaces.

  • May be exposed to temperatures of 28 degrees to 100 degrees Fahrenheit with both ambient and 100% humidity.

  • May handle product 25 degrees to 50 degrees Fahrenheit.

  • May be exposed to noise ranges of 50 db to 110 db.

  • May be exposed to dust, feathers and all chemicals used in poultry, food, processing facility.

  • Must wear and use protective and safety equipment required for the job as directed by the Company.

  • Occasional exposure to carbon dioxide vapors 10ppm and chlorine less than 20 ppm.

  • Able to stand for several hours.

  • Work may include lifting (up to 50 lbs), reaching, bending, pushing boxes on conveyor assembly.
