We are searching for an experienced Mechanical Extraction Plant Manager to join our team in Bowersville, GA. The Plant Manager will manage the mechanical extruder facility to ensure quality inventory and cost-effective operations that lead to profitability.
Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Manage the Extruder Plant operations to include hiring, firing, and developing staff to meet the needs of the Operations
Lead safety programs to ensure safe working conditions for all associates and compliance with all local, state, and federal requirements
Lead environmental programs to ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal requirements
Lead production operations to ensure maximum equipment and personnel utilization
Lead product quality to ensure customer requirements and specifications are attained
Ensure routine and preventative maintenance programs for the production operations are in place to ensure efficient operation
Manage all capital expenditures for maintenance engineering requirements
Education
HS Diploma or GED required
BS Degree (Agriculture, Management, Business, Engineering) preferred
Experience Requirements
7+ years of previous experience leading teams within a soybean crush facility
Leadership in manufacturing operations and technologies
Management of safety programs and requirements
Management environmental programs and requirements
Understanding of commodity markets
Understanding of standard software applications
Strong communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills
Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements
Able to move freely throughout the Division facilities including climbing vertical heights (0 - 150'), exposure to extreme temperatures (0-100 Degrees Fahrenheit), humidity, (0 - 100%), noise (50db to 100db – hearing protection required) and chemicals (MSDS sheets available)
Required to travel to remote Division facilities
