We are seeking a Maintenance Planner to join our team in Chesapeake, VA . This position is responsible for coordinating and managing the maintenance planning and scheduling requirements for assigned facilities.
Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Lead, motivate, develop and engage the maintenance planning staff to meet the needs of the work section
Ensure safe working conditions for all associates
Schedule routine, preventive, and predictive maintenance to ensure the maximum availability and longevity of assets
Provide technical planning and scheduling support for maintenance activities
Provide data and information for budget preparation, tracking, and analysis
Ensure all work is completed in accordance with all Federal, State, and Local environmental and safety requirements
Perform other tasks as assigned
Minimum Education
Required : High School Diploma or GED
Preferred: BS Degree OR comparable technical training within the mechanical and/or electrical crafts
Experience Requirements
Understanding of standard software applications
Understanding of manufacturing technologies
Strong mechanical skills
Strong communication, math, organizational, and analytical skills
Strong supervisory and interpersonal skills
Experience Preferred
- 5 - 7 years of previous maintenance planning experience
Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements
Able to move freely throughout the agribusiness facilities including climbing vertical heights (0 -150'), carrying tools and equipment (0-50 lbs.), exposure temperatures (0-100) degrees Fahrenheit, humidity (0-100%), noise (50db to 100db) and chemicals (MSDS sheets available).
Must be able to wear protective equipment to include self-contained breathing apparatus.
Required to travel to remote agribusiness facilities and customer locations.
