We are seeking a Maintenance Planner to join our team in Chesapeake, VA . This position is responsible for coordinating and managing the maintenance planning and scheduling requirements for assigned facilities.

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Lead, motivate, develop and engage the maintenance planning staff to meet the needs of the work section

  • Ensure safe working conditions for all associates

  • Schedule routine, preventive, and predictive maintenance to ensure the maximum availability and longevity of assets

  • Provide technical planning and scheduling support for maintenance activities

  • Provide data and information for budget preparation, tracking, and analysis

  • Ensure all work is completed in accordance with all Federal, State, and Local environmental and safety requirements

  • Perform other tasks as assigned

Minimum Education

  • Required : High School Diploma or GED

  • Preferred: BS Degree OR comparable technical training within the mechanical and/or electrical crafts

Experience Requirements

  • Understanding of standard software applications

  • Understanding of manufacturing technologies

  • Strong mechanical skills

  • Strong communication, math, organizational, and analytical skills

  • Strong supervisory and interpersonal skills

Experience Preferred

  • 5 - 7 years of previous maintenance planning experience

Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements

  • Able to move freely throughout the agribusiness facilities including climbing vertical heights (0 -150'), carrying tools and equipment (0-50 lbs.), exposure temperatures (0-100) degrees Fahrenheit, humidity (0-100%), noise (50db to 100db) and chemicals (MSDS sheets available).

  • Must be able to wear protective equipment to include self-contained breathing apparatus.

  • Required to travel to remote agribusiness facilities and customer locations.
