The Soy Process Operator is responsible for safely operating grain handling and oilseed production equipment, meeting the quality and productivity requirements that ensure on time supply of safe products to the customer. This is a rotating shift.
Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Maintain logs and records regarding the extraction process
Performs routine preventative maintenance on prep equipment
Performs all work within the safety guidelines established by local, state, and federal agencies as well as company policies
Performs routine housekeeping requirements as directed
Starts up, operates, and shuts down preparation equipment
High School or GED
Further education is preferred
Previous experience with heavy equipment
General industry safety knowledge
Must possess basic omputer skills and be familiar with operating process from a computer-based system
Must have basic math skills, chemistry, heat transfer knowledge and be a self-starter
Should be familiar with liquid flows
Should have basic understanding of conveyor systems and dust collection
Multi-tasking a must
Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements
Able to move freely throughout the agribusiness facilities including climbing vertical heights (0 -150'), carrying tools and equipment (0-50 lbs.), exposure temperatures (0-100) degrees Fahrenheit, humidity (0-100%), noise (50db to 100db) and chemicals (MSDS sheets available). Must be able to wear protective equipment to include self-contained breathing apparatus.
