Summary

Perdue AgriBusiness has an immediate opening for a Lead Industrial Electrician within its North Carolina, Northeast Grain Elevator Operations. .

This position is responsible for maintaining production assets throughout multiple locations within this region ensuring the assets are dependable and reliable upon demand

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Perform routine preventative maintenance to trouble shoot and repair electrical circuits

  • Design and document basic electric circuits and specify parts

  • Proper and timely communications of projects and work progress

  • Respond to emergency breakdowns and equipment work

  • Perform all work in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations and Company policies

Minimum Education

  • High School or equivalent.

  • Electrical Apprenticeship or Advanced Technical Electrical training preferred

Experience Requirements

  • Journeyman Electrical License

  • Reading, writing, math and analytical skills

  • General knowledge of computer, operation and network systems

  • Basics of working around and using High Voltage equipment (600V)

  • Basics of microprocessor-based equipment (loop controllers, VFD, etc.)

  • Basic understanding of Programmable Logic Controllers and ability to troubleshoot

  • Valid state driver's license

  • Satisfactory DOT drug test and physical

Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements

  • Able to move freely throughout the AgriBusiness facilities

  • Climb vertical heights (0-150")

  • Climbing vertical ladders, carrying tools and equipment (0-50 pounds)

  • Exposure to extreme temperatures (0-100 Degrees F)

  • Humidity (0-100%)

  • Noise (50db to 100db)

  • Chemicals (SDS sheets available)

  • Must be able to wear protective equipment to include self-contained breathing apparatus

  • Required to travel to remote AgriBusiness facilities
