Perdue AgriBusiness has exciting opportunities for two (2) Retail Territory Managers within our Animal Nutrition department for areas located east and west of the Mississippi River. These positions are responsible for generating marketing information for product placement within the assigned areas, including:
This position will partner with the Director of Sales, Marketing, and the Digestive Health product manager to develop and execute a strategy for placement of new branded product lines as well as evaluate private label opportunities in the independent and COOP retail settings
This position will identify opportunities and generate market information that leads to the sales of both branded and private label product placement
This position will work closely with the marketing team and technical team to educate retail associates about our products and manufacturing capabilities to achieve sales through the retail channel
Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Meet with and gain placement of branded products into the independent retail store market channel
Identify opportunities for private label products to be produced by PAN for retail sales
Generate market information that leads to the development of new products, packaging, point of sale material, or other material to support retail sales of branded products
Identify and set meetings with regional distributors and COOPs to pitch branded and private label products and opportunities
Help develop and execute a strategic plan to grow the Digestive Health product line
Work as a part of a team to bring ideas, opportunities, new product concepts, and marketing to help develop new products for the hobby farm/show animal/companion animal and non-production animal market
BS degree (Agriculture or related field) preferred.
Retail sales or distributor sales experience preferred

The environmental factors and physical requirements of this position include the following:
Able to operate a motor vehicle and travel to and from customer locations
Able to move freely about farms and other agricultural areas
Exposed to external weather conditions to include rain, snow and extreme temperatures (-15 to 90 Degrees Fahrenheit), humidity, (0 - 100%), and noise (50db to 100db)
Able to use standard office equipment to include telephone, computers, copiers, etc.
Able to lift up to 50 pounds
Overnight travel required
