The Maintenance Superintendent (Shift Leader) is a manager-level position that oversees the day-to-day supervision of maintenance associates. This person will meet production requirements, company goals, and provide training to maintenance associates to assist and develop their knowledge, skills, and abilities. The Maintenance Superintendent (Shift Leader) will report directly to the Plant's Complex Maintenance Manager.
-Work Schedule: Sunday - Wednesday 6:00pm to 6:00am

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities
-Manage a team of associates, which includes hiring, training, and developing associates to ensure production requirements and goals are met.
-Demonstrate excellent attendance and punctuality.
-Adhere to safety requirements including PPE; preventing and reporting unsafe acts and conditions, Lockout-Tagout procedures and Process Safety Management related matters
-Provide timely, accurate, and consistent reports (safety, production, cost, human resources, administrative, etc.) for your area of responsibility.
-Provide a safe work environment for all associates eliminating unsafe acts or conditions.
-Ensure the Quality Improvement Process and Team Management concept are employed within your area of responsibility.
-Control cost and assets managed within established guidelines.
-Install new equipment and have a chain efficiency of 98% while maintaining quality and safety
Bachelor's degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
-Previous maintenance experience in manufacturing, production required, food production experience preferred.
-Comfortability with being a hands-on manager, spending as much time on the production floor as needed to achieve targets.

Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements
- May need to move light equipment or supplies from one place to another. 2. May need to access files, supplies and equipment. 3. When in a plant environment: Exposure primarily consists of wet and moist floors which include metal and plastic grating surfaces. May be exposed to temperatures of 28 degrees to 100 degrees Fahrenheit with both ambient and 100% humidity. May handle product 25 degrees to 50 degrees Fahrenheit. May be exposed to noise ranges of 50 db to 110 db. May be exposed to all chemicals used in poultry, food, processing facility. Must wear and use protective and safety equipment required for the job as directed by the Company.
