Summary

The purpose of a Live Haul Manager is to manage, supervise, organize, plan for and direct the Live Haul Department to include vehicles, equipment and personnel needed to pick up and deliver daily on a timely manner approximately 440,000 chickens to the plant for harvesting.

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Plans the amount of equipment needed to operate the Live Haul Department daily, monthly and annually.

Supervises the pickup and delivery of chickens to processing plant by live haul personnel.

Trains and directs the growth and development of personnel needed to carry out the live haul operation.

Works with the garage to ensure that proper prevent maintenance of the equipment occurs daily.

Sees that the pickup and dirver's schedule are completed and posted daily.

Plans and maintains safety guidelines and programs for all live haul personnel.

Requires travel to remote facilities and/or corporate offices for meetings.

Minimum Education

High school or equivalent.

Experience Requirements

3-5 years work experience. Legally authorized to work in the United States. Strong work history, worked for one employer for at least 1 year in the past 3 years. Good reading, writing, math and analytical skills. Computer literate with skills in Microsoft Office. Leadership and/or supervisory training.

Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements

May need to move light equipment or supplies from one place to another.

May need to access files, supplies and equipment.

When in a plant environment: Exposure primarily consists of wet and moist floors which include metal and plastic grating surfaces.

May be exposed to temperatures of 28 degrees to 100 degrees Fahrenheit with both ambient and 100% humidity.

May handle product 25 degrees to 50 degrees Fahrenheit.

May be exposed to noise ranges of 50 db to 110 db.

May be exposed to all chemicals used in poultry, food, processing facility.

Must wear and use protective and safety equipment required for the job as directed by the Company.

May need to climb ladders.

Must have the ability to move throughout the complex.
