Perdue AgriBusiness has an opening for a Blending Production Supervisor at our Earlville, IA location. The Blending Production Supervisor will be responsible for supervising crews and teams that receive, dry, store, blend and distribute feed ingredient commodities.

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Lead crews and teams within a Blending facility to include hiring, training and developing the staff

  • Lead team on routine and preventative maintenance of assigned equipment

  • Coordinate and direct the activities of crews and teams that blend products

  • Coordinate and direct the activities of crews and teams that perform housekeeping activities

  • Ensure safe working conditions for all associates

Minimum Education

  • High school or equivalent (required)

  • BS Degree in Agriculture, Logistics or Business (preferred)

Experience Requirements

1 - 3 years of related experience. Reading, writing and analytical skills required. Knowledge of grain receiving and storage technologies. Understanding of standard software applications. Maintenance background with knowledge of routine and preventative maintenance.

Experience Preferred

Supervisory and mechanical experience preferred

Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements

Able to move freely throughout the Agribusiness facilities to include climbing vertical heights (0 - 150'), carrying tools and equipment (0-50 pounds), exposure to extreme temperatures (0-100 Degrees Fahrenheit), humidity, (0 - 100%), noise (50db to 100db) and chemicals (MSDS sheets available). Must be able to wear protective equipment. Required to travel to remote Agribusiness facilities and customer locations.
