Coordinate all aspects of the plant's retention activities. The position has primary responsibility for developing and coordinating associate retention and training administration.
Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Implement project plans and best practices to increase operational efficiency and improve retention. Analyze trends and metrics in partnership with Human Resources. Maintain spreadsheets. Create and run reports. Check-in with the new hires throughout probationary period to ensure they understand company policies and procedures. Review new hire's key roles and responsibilities. Address any new hire concerns with appropriate management and Human Resources. Continually seek out new methods of retention to promote Perdue as an employer of choice. Maintain confidentiality of associate nad company information. Other special projects or assignments request by management.
Any combination of education and experience that would provide the required skill and knowledge for successful performance. Relative experience in a production environment required. Proven skill in planning, organizing, coordinating , assigning, delegating, and analyzing. Must have positive attitude, highly motivated, organized, professional, and adaptable. Must be able to work a flexible schedule.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. Prior poultry experience.
Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements
Sedentary in an office environment throughout a daily period but may require occasional moving to other offices or buildings.
May need to move light equipment or supplies from one place to another.
May need to access files, supplies and equipment.
Work activity is in a production environment.
When in a plant environment:
Exposure primarily consists of wet and moist floors which include metal and plastic grating surfaces.
May be exposed to temperatures of 28 degrees to 100 degrees Fahrenheit with both ambient and 100% humidity.
May handle product 25 degrees to 50 degrees Fahrenheit.
May be exposed to noise ranges of 50 db to 110 db.
May be exposed to all chemicals used in poultry, food, processing facility.
Must wear and use protective and safety equipment required for the job as directed by the Company.
