Summary

Trains and further develops the competency, capability and productivity of Perdue’s leadership and associate population in order to achieve targeted business objectives. Assesses the development needs of assigned locations to drive training initiatives and identifies and arranges suitable training solutions for targeted associate populations. Actively searches, creatively designs, and effectively implements appropriate methods to educate, enhance, change and recognize stronger performance and desired behaviors.

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Directs the needs assessment for staff development to enhance the effectiveness of performance and desired behaviors in achieving the established goals and objectives of Perdue.

  • Develops, coordinates and implements assigned Lewiston's training plans, processes and activities where necessary, collaborates with other internal training resources to ensure local training needs are met.

  • Facilitates the implementation of overarching enterprise training initiatives and goals established by Corporate Training and Development.

  • Conducts follow-up studies of all completed training/development programs to track, monitor, evaluate and measure results; modifies programs as appropriate and provides additional support/resources to reinforce performance and behavioral expectations.

  • Provides a broad range of consultative development and diagnostic services to all levels of associates that improve productivity, leadership, personal effectiveness, associate retention and other key areas of focus.

Minimum Education and Education

REQUIRED: A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in one or more of the following: Human Resources, Organizational Development, Training & Development or other relevant field. Minimum of 2+ years of training experience is required.

Other requirements include: Strong proficiency in verbal/written communications, OD/OE metric analytics, excellent interpersonal and influencing skills, change management, multi-tasking, problem-solving, coaching/mentoring and time management skills.

PREFERRED: A Master’s degree in one or more of the following: Human Resources, Organizational Development, Training & Development or other relevant field. Certifications from recognized professional organizations such as ASTD, SHRM or other OD/OE, training and assessment organizations.
