Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Supervise night shift production team in the safe and efficient production of feed and related duties.
Responsible for the day-to-day decision making for the facility within established guidelines to ensure adequate staffing and all necessary essentials are available to meet the production needs.
Supervise night shift delivery team in the safe and efficient delivery of feed. Includes dispatching and loading of all bulk feed trucks and taking feed orders and grower calls.
Accurate reporting of feed delivery information.
Completion of assigned cleaning, sampling, APF, breeder and NICARB duties.
Responsible for analyzing and meeting the production needs of the facility.
Maintains chemicals and supply inventories according to established goals.
Ensures that all daily production requests are received and produced for customers daily.
Identifies needed mechanical repairs, scheduling repairs, delegating repairs and performing preventative maintenance work.
Assist maintenance, panel, and receiving operators in doing their jobs. Must have some knowledge of all jobs.
Responsible for setting and maintaining high quality standards set forth by Best Management Practices.
Do a daily inspection of the feed mill to find any safety, quality or production problems.
Directly supervises and leads the facility and associates in activities to meet daily production needs in a safe and efficient manner. Maintains high quality standards through leadership while staying within company guidelines and adhering to all local, state and federal laws.
High school or equivalent
0 - 3 years related experience. Reading, writing and analytical skills required.
Supervisory and mechanical experience preferred.
Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements
Exposed to outside weather conditions and a significant amount of air borne dust and other residual chemicals. Ability to move through facility. Must be able to stoop, bend and climb; able to lift 100 lbs. Must wear company required personal protective equipment.
