Summary
The purpose of this position is to maintain, diagnose, repair, rebuild, adjust, perform preventive maintenance and install equipment within and around the ww plant facility. As a Waste Water Treatment (WWT) Operator the associate will be accountable for the effluent that is discharged on your shift.
Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Ensure a safe working environment by eliminating any unsafe or hazardous conditions
Ensure all work areas are kept clean and that the floors are free of liquids and oil spills
Machine checks are to be performed at the beginning of every shift, to ensure that all equipment is running properly and ready for production
All safety devices on all equipment need to be checked out before running the equipment
Downtime and machine check lists must be turned in at the end of your shift
Thorough out the shift, make routine checks on the equipment to ensure it is operating the best it can so it can produce the best possible finished product.
Minimum Education
High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience Requirements
Must be proficient in all of the following areas:
Electrical Wiring (general Knowledge)
Pipe Fitting/Plumbing
Running all Waste Water treatment equipment to peak performance
Automatic equipment operation (setup, repair, and tear down)
Waste Water Treatment paper work and testing
Knowledge of belt press or centrifuge or other type of dewatering equipment
Experience Preferred
Vocational/Technical school completion or equivalent training or four or more year’s practical experience is required. You must have at least a State of DE WWT operator license.
Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements
May need to move light equipment or supplies from one place to another.
May need to access files, supplies and equipment.
Exposure primarily consists of wet and moist floors which include metal and plastic grating surfaces.
May be exposed to temperatures of 28 degrees to 100 degrees Fahrenheit with both ambient and 100% humidity.
May handle product 25 degrees to 50 degrees Fahrenheit.
May be exposed to noise ranges of 50 db to 110 db.
May be exposed to all chemicals found in poultry, food and processing plant.
Must wear and use protective and safety equipment required for the job as directed by the Company.
Must be able to lift cases up to 50 lbs.
Must be able to climb platforms as needed to conduct verification activities.
