The Maintenance Manager is responsible for all maintenance activities at the Draper Valley/Mt. Vernon Facility. This person will provide leadership, consultation and guidance regarding maintenance expenditure projects, cost efficiencies, process development, modification, and facility maintenance. They will also lead the Maintenance Planning Department and act as a liaison between Maintenance and all other plant departments.
Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Develop and deploy maintenance and planning improvement programs and projects that improve the plant and equipment performance.
Promote safety and demand it from the maintenance organization.
Oversee maintenance staffing to include hiring, training, and developing the staff to meet the needs of the department.
Ensure preventative and predictive maintenance is completed and records are maintained on all assets.
Directly manage the Maintenance Planning Department, the Computerized Maintenance Management System, and Planning Processes
Develop long-range strategic plans to ensure maintenance requirements are accomplished.
Perform other tasks as assigned.
Minimum Education and Experience
BS Degree (Engineering) or Technical Education Equivalent and 5+ years of related experience.
The Ideal Candidate will also have:
Understanding of maintenance management systems and process
Understanding of preventive and predictive maintenance
Understanding of manufacturing technologies
Understanding of standard software applications
Strong communication, math, organizational, and analytical skills
Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements
Able to move freely throughout the facility to include climbing, vertical heights (0-150'), carrying tools and equipment (0-50 pounds), exposure to extreme temperatures (0-100 Degrees Fahrenheit), humidity (0-100%), noise (50db to 100db) and chemicals (MSDS sheets available). Must be able to wear protective equipment. May be required to travel to other facilities.
