Manages the accounting and financial reporting functions supporting plant locations, an assigned region, logistics and/or live operations. May require travel and overnight trips to remote Company facilities and other locations.

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Maintains an effective system of internal controls, ensuring compliance with Corporate and generally accepted standards of accounting and reporting.Ensures relevant, timely, and accurate reporting of complex operations and effective support of operations and financial management.Effectively utilizes information processing technology and staff to deliver information to management in an efficient and effective manner.Assists management in managing capital expenditures to optimize economic performance, product quality and associate safety. May manage the CER process and oversee inventory and overall asset management.Reviews monthly closing and/or reporting responsibilities and related cost, analytical and auditing responsibilities.May manage a staff ensuring effective training, development, coaching or team members.Supports activities related to annual capital and operating budgets, labor standards, key initiative reporting, forecasts, scorecard comments, capital project review and approval, as well as AgriStats analysis and review.

Minimum Education

Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline.

Experience Requirements

5 plus years experience. Requires strong math and analytical skills plus good oral and written communication skills, good planning and problem solving skills. Must have excellent computer skills in Excel, Access and Word.

Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements

Position is mostly sedentary but may require occasional moving to other offices or buildings. May need to move light equipment or supplies from one place to another. May need to access files, supplies and equipment.When in a plant environment: Exposure primarily consists of wet and moist floors which include metal and plastic grating surfaces.May be exposed to temperatures of 28 degrees to 100 degrees Fahrenheit with both ambient and 100% humidity. May handle product 25 degrees to 50 degrees Fahrenheit. May be exposed to noise ranges of 50 db. to 110 db.May be exposed to all chemicals used in poultry, food, processing facility.Must wear and use protective and safety equipment required for the job as directed by the Company.
