Summary
The essential purpose of an SPC Checker (Statisical Process Control) is to accurately perform and record preventative checks on in- process and finished products for defects. Will be required to perform AQL checks, retain product when necessary, and perform rechecks on failed product. Will also be required to perform and document various preventative checks on equipment and facility items such as pre-operational inspections, metal detection inspections, condensation checks and more. Will be required to communicate and notify production and QA leads and management of any issues that arise. Will be required to perform other various duties as needed for departmental operation.

- Monday-Friday approximately 7:30am-5:30pm
Rate
- $16.80/hour
Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities
To perform and record preventative checks on products, equipment, and facility items in assigned department.
To take appropriate action(s) for products, equipment, or facility items that do not meet acceptable levels.
To ensure quality products are being produced in the facility.
Associate must meet and maintain minimum requirements for premium positions.
Minimum Education
- High School or equivalent not required but beneficial.
Experience Requirements
- Prior QA experience
Experience Preferred
- Experience in poultry processing/manufacturing environment
Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements
When in a plant environment:
Exposure primarily consists of wet and moist floors which include metal and plastic grating surfaces.
May be exposed to temperatures of 28 degrees to 100 degrees Fahrenheit with both ambient and 100% humidity.
May handle product 25 degrees to 50 degrees Fahrenheit.
May be exposed to noise ranges of 50 db to 110 db.
May be exposed to dust, feathers and all chemicals used in poultry, food, processing facility.
Must wear and use protective and safety equipment required for the job as directed by the Company.
Occasional exposure to carbon dioxide vapors 10ppm and chlorine less than 20 ppm.
Able to stand for several hours.
Work may include lifting (up to 50 lbs), reaching, bending, pushing boxes on conveyor assembly.
