Summary

The Account Team Manager leads and directs the defined customer service account team for Foods’ chicken and turkey proteins. Responsible for managing the order to cash process including ensuring key sales functions, i.e. booking features, pricing, etc. for assigned team is accurate and executed. The leader is proactively focused on customer satisfaction-responsiveness and flexibility in resolving customer issues. This includes daily interaction with customers, brokers, supply chain network, outside sales, and support to AR. The Account Team Manager is accountable for hiring and developing the most effective team.

The salary range for this position is $86,000.00 - $126,000.00 per year, based on experience and qualifications with annual bonus available (variable depending on performance).

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Leads customer service functions for assigned team to support the company goals of customer service, at minimum distribution and logistics costs, overhead and expenses.

  • Engages with Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Sales, Transportation, Logistics and Operations to proactively solve customer service issues.

  • Ensures data accuracy to support the order to cash process including customer master data, pricing data and invoicing. Responsible for managing deductions and awareness of open AR for assigned team.

  • Responsible for all day-to-day issues that arise around the order fulfillment process and timely communication to all departments involved. Identifies patterns or trends impacting service and brings forward solutions to gain alignment for change. Escalates issues to Director of Customer Service and recommend actions for resolution.

  • Monitors customer service KPIs and continuously seeks improved performance.

  • Hires, develops, and leads associates embodying Perdue Values and Leadership Behaviors

  • Makes visits to key customers to increase understanding of their requirements and agree to mutual actions which will improve the order fulfillment process.

  • Will lead or contribute to projects of large scale and increased complexity.

Education and Experience Requirements

Bachelors degree in the areas of Sales, Marketing or Business Administration plus 7 – 10 years related work experience. Our ideal candidate will have

  • Strong reading, writing, communication and analytical skills.

  • Ability to comprehend and understand customer protocol.

  • Strong working knowledge of all processes within the supply chain, i.e., sales, marketing, forecasting, production planning, manufacturing and distribution.

  • Ability to negotiate, manage conflict and develop consensus with Merchandising managers.

  • Ability to analyze costs versus benefits in providing customer service.

  • Strong understanding of IT systems and how they pass data between each other, e.g., SAP, Blue Yonder, CFS, SRP, etc.

  • Ability to travel to customer or plant facilities to include overnight travel.

Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements

  • Position is mostly sedentary but may require occasional moving to other offices or buildings.

  • May need to move light equipment or supplies from one place to another.

  • May need to access files, supplies and equipment.

  • Work activity is in an office, open-partitioned, cubicle environment.
