Perdue AgriBusiness has an exciting opportunity for a Commodity Movement Planner in Salisbury, MD .

The purpose of this position is to coordinate among Oil merchandising, operations and transportation to ensure inventory and sales demands are met utilizing resources in the most cost effective manner.

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Coordinate among sales, merchandising and operations to ensure inventory and space is available to meet both sales and storage demands as well as Transportation to assess the impact of changes in capacity and product supply.

  • Coordinate with Transportation to determine the availability and best use of transportation equipment/resources to execute on plans.

  • Maintain and execute the Inventory Management plans for Forecasting, Facilities and Loads.

  • Prepare routine logistics reports.

  • Create, update, load orders, entering load order accruals and validate after the fact non-freight accruals in SmartSoft. Close Load orders as required.

  • Work with QA Manager to accurately deliver on customer quality specs and meet regulatory requirements.

Minimum Education

  • High School Graduate or GED required

  • BS Degree in related field preferred

Experience Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years of related experience preferred

  • Understanding of Sales concepts

  • Strong interpersonnal skills

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Understanding of standard software applications

  • Knowledge of rail, truck, barge and vessel logistics or principles preferred

Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements

Normal climate controlled office space. Able to operate a motor vehicle. Able to use standard office equipment to include telephone, computers, copiers etc. Able to move freely about the facility. May be exposed to external weather conditions to include rain, snow and extreme temperatures (0 – 100 Degrees Fahrenheit), humidity, (0 – 100%), and noise (50db to 100db). Able to lift up to 50 pounds. Occasional overnight travel may be required.
