Summary
Perdue AgriBusiness has an exciting opportunity for a Grain Crew - Leader at our facility located in Salisbury, MD, supporting grain operations.
Day shift hours: 7:00 am to 5:00 pm for non-harvest; 7:00 am to 7:00 pm during harvest. Training starts on day shift.

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Assist the facility manager in managing the operations
Ensure working conditions for all associates are in compliance with the safety guidelines established by local, state, and federal agencies as well as company policies
Assist the facility manager in coordinating and directing the daily activities of crews and teams that receive, dry, store, and distribute grain
Train and develop team members to perform required operational tasks
Operate grain probe (hand/automated) and grade grain for all factors
Operate grain receiving equipment
Operate grain drying and related equipment
Operate grain transfer and load out equipment
Operate lift truck equipment and perform daily maintenance and safety checks on equipment
Perform house keeping of all elevator areas
Perform routine and preventative maintenance on operational equipment with the grain facility to ensure maximum availability and longevity
Perform other tasks as assigned
Minimum Education
- High School or equivalent
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of leadership experience
Experience Preferred
- Previous grain operations experience - preferred
Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements
Able to move freely throughout the agribusiness facilities including climbing vertical heights (0 -150'), carrying tools and equipment (0-50 lbs.), exposure temperatures (0-100) degrees Fahrenheit, humidity (0-100%), noise (50db to 100db) and chemicals (MSDS sheets available)
Must be able to wear protective equipment to include self-contained breathing apparatus
Required to travel to remote agribusiness facilities and customer locations
