This position will be responsible for for supporting the endeavors of the execution and logistics team. The individual will be tasked with assisting and executing the company's internal and external truck/rail/barge/vessel movements efficiently and cost-effectively across business units within the company.

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Execute truck/rail/barge/vessel logistics in fulfillment of the purchase contract terms for internal and external customers. Duties include inter-company contract entry and execution from initial input of a trade to ensuring the oldest contracts are filled before moving to the next.

  • Coordinate tank railcar fleet needs to support the refinery's production and customer orders. Audit railcar demurrage bills as needed.

  • Coordinate the generation and flow of documents to ensure timely and accurate application and settlement for all internal logistics moves including truck/rail/barge/vessel shipments.

  • Be the point of contact person for suppliers for all logistics documentation-related matters such as load order entry and internal contract application. Keep operations and suppliers informed as to status of shipments.

  • Prepare and execute supply plans with little supervision to support refinery operations and other business groups. Knowledge and understanding of the outside facilities and the refinery including production, storage capabilities, and inventories is key in the decision-making process.

  • A basic knowledge of the hedge desk and all positions and daily trades.

  • Support stakeholders after hours and on weekends as needed.

  • Generate reports as needed and other ad hoc duties as assigned by supervisor.

Minimum Education

Undergraduate degree with prior experience in supply chain.

Experience Preferred

  • Prior experience in the agricultural field or supply chain management.

  • Ability to make quick decisions in a fast-paced, competitive environment with a desire to continuously improve process and system efficiencies and maximize asset utilization while providing superior customer service to internal and external customers.

Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements

  1. The position is mostly sedentary but may require occasional moving to other offices or buildings.

  2. May need to move light equipment or supplies from one place to another.

  3. May need to access files, supplies, and equipment.

  4. Work activity is in an office, open-partitioned, cubicle environment.
