The Director of Breeders will provide leadership, development and coaching to the Live Production Operations, for the particular region of responsibility, through but not limited to performance management, budgeting, personnel decisions, production programs, health and safety programs, etc. to meet the company goals and objectives.
This individal will report to the VP of Live Operations.
Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Develop strategic business plans for a competitive Live Production Operations program and maintain efficient competitive operations.
Provide leadership, development and coaching to the Live Production Operations, for the particular region of responsibility, through but not limited to performance management, budgeting, personnel decisions, production programs, health and safety programs, etc. to meet the company goals and objectives.
Identify improvement initiatives and influence change for Live Production Breeder Operations, within the region of responsibility.
Build and maintain an effective team to manage operations.
Provide a safe, secure and productive work environment for all associates under area of responsibility.
Communicate effectively with peers, producers, senior management, subordinates and non-company personnel to insure performance and resolution of problems.
Minimum Education and Experience
The ideal candidate must have:
Bachelors Degree in Poultry Science, Business Administration, Operations Management, Business Management, or related discipline required.
10+ years of related experience in the poultry, or similar, industry.
Masters or MBA is a plus.

The Director of Breeders will travel regularly to various feedmills, hatcheries, processing plants and/or customer sites within his or her region.
