The Director of Risk Management is responsible for directing the company’s Risk Management program including indemnification, communication, measurement, and management of company-wide risk. This person directs management of Casualty claims process. They will be responsible for development and implementation of Risk Management policies and procedures. The Director of Risk will also collaborate with other departments to identify risks associated with their activities.

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manages insurance procurement, develops and implements risk management and compliance policies/procedures, and oversees the management of claims and litigation.

  • Manages relationships with third party service providers including brokers, underwriters, and other third-party administrators.

  • Coordinates and submits, as necessary, the gathering of insurance policy renewal data.

  • Evaluates and provides recommendations regarding selection of policies, including but not limited to: Property, Casualty, General Liability, Workers Compensation, Directors and Officers, and Cyber-risk policies.

  • Partners with all departments regarding incident reports and claims or losses.

  • Investigates, resolves, and responds to all property liability claims under the direction of the VP of Treasury and CFO.

  • Partners with key stakeholders to develop and implement standards, processes, programs, and best practices related to risk management.

  • Reviews contract language to ensure there is adequate insurance limits and indemnification. Reviews insurance certificates against contracts to ensure compliance with requested limits.

  • Manages ISNetworld third party contractor limits and addresses variances as requested.

  • Works with Company’s insurance brokers to respond to requests for certificates of insurance and claims history documents.

  • Preparing Risk Management insurance budgets.

  • Directs the Casualty claims incident reporting program and processes.

  • Other duties as assigned by Leadership.

Minimum Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related field, with at least 5 years of experience in Risk Management.

Certification in Risk Management Assurance(CRMA), Certified Risk Manager(CRM), or other relevant certification is highly preferred.

Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements

Position is mostly sedentary but may require occasional moving to other offices or buildings. May need to move light equipment or supplies from one place to another. May need to access files, supplies and equipment. Work activity is in an office, open-partitioned, cubicle environment.
