Summary

The Field Recruiter will be responsible for ensuring that staffing levels and needs are met and maintained for plant operations and other department areas in the company. They will focus on recruitment in the surrounding areas and will spend a majority of time in the community promoting and recruiting for the Salisbury, MD and Georgetown, DE plant operations. The Field Recruiter will check in regularly (weekly) at the plant to collaborate with the Staffing Recruiter and HR Team.

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • High-volume recruiting - Responsible for ensuring that staffing levels and needs are met and maintained for plant operations and other department areas in the company

  • Create exceptional and vigorous search strategies to identify and attract the highest caliber of talent

  • Manage full-cycle recruiting to support multiple lines of business including hourly and salaried positions at the facility.

  • Develop and update job descriptions and job specifications

  • Achieves measurable results that demonstrate improvement in hiring ration, i.e. applicants vs. hires, and ensures all required paperwork and documents is completed including application, references, background checks, etc. and in accordance with OFCCP standards.

  • Stay current on market trends, diversity recruiting, and utilizing data to perform analyses to identify current and future talent needs

  • Participate in career fairs, networking events, and campus recruiting activities

  • Works across the organization with key stakeholders such as Human Resources, Compensation, and the Business to ensure a superior client and candidate experience

Minimum Education and Experience

Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Labor Relations or related field preferred, and 3-5 years of staffing/recruiting experience. Previous experience in a staffing role within a manufacturing environment or similar high volume recruiting environment is a plus.

The Ideal Candidate must have:

  • Proven knowledge of laws surrounding the interview process.

  • Exposure to AAP requirements as it applies to the recruitment, interviewing, selection process.

  • Proven track record of innovative methods to recruit the targeted workforce and that result in turnover reduction.

  • Ability to think ahead and plan over a 1 to 3 year time span.

  • Ability to multi-task and organize multiple protocols and projects and complete on schedule.

  • Strong analytical skills, ability to analyze and resolve problems at both a strategic and functional level.

  • Ability to communicate to all levels of the organization, provide excellent customer service, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Knowledge of and a commitment to team performance and effective coaching.

  • Ability to travel to the assigned plants as needed.

Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements

Position is mostly sedentary but may require occasional moving to other offices or buildings. May need to move light equipment or supplies from one place to another. May need to access files, supplies and equipment. When in a plant environment: Exposure primarily consists of wet and moist floors which include metal and plastic grating surfaces. May be exposed to temperatures of 28 degrees to 100 degrees Fahrenheit with both ambient and 100% humidity. May handle product 25 degrees to 50 degrees Fahrenheit. May be exposed to noise ranges of 50 db. to 110 db. May be exposed to all chemicals used in poultry, food, processing facility. Must wear and use protective and safety equipment required for the job as directed by the Company.
