The Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) will manage core finance processes for the Company. These processes include: Reporting, Forecasting and Annual Budgeting. This position will play a critical role in delivering comprehensive strategic decision support and working cross-functionally with all areas of the company to drive business performance. In addition, this position is responsible for identifying and implementing enhanced financial reporting practices and coordinating the annual and quarterly consolidated/planning and forecasting activities. The Manager will report to the Director of Financial Planning & Analysis and interact frequently with other executives throughout the company.

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Manage the preparation of weekly, monthly and quarterly financial reports. This includes presenting variance insights, tracking cost savings initiatives and developing presentations for the Company’s Board of Directors, Lenders and Family meetings.
Manage the company’s forecasting and annual budgeting processes. This includes establishing timelines, vetting assumptions, preparing executive review summaries and collaborating with business partners to explain all substantial financial changes.
Provide strategic decision support to drive business performance. This includes leading special projects across the company, analyzing financial statements (i.e. Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow), and conducting competitor benchmarking.
Assists Corporate Accounting in the monthly and year-end close processes and is responsible for the accuracy, preparation and analysis of various monthly financial reports & analyses.
Provide ad-hoc analyses for senior management whenever necessary, ensuring tight deadlines are always met.
Work closely with Director to automate reports and improve work processes; eliminate redundancies & increase efficiencies. Proactively drive change.
Assist Director & VP as needed, including Executive Presentations, Capital tracking and forecasting, BPR/Finance Transformation project.
Minimum Education and Experience
REQUIRED: Bachelor’s degree with demonstrated superior college performance (preferably in an analytical field). 5+ years of finance/accounting experience or business-related financial analysis experience. Working knowledge of financial and accounting principles. Strong analytical ability- deal with ambiguity, synthesize complex data and draw business insights. Creative problem solver that can identify patterns from disparate sources and deliver comprehensive and actionable analyses. Strong organizational skills with the ability to work on multiple projects within tight timelines. Ability to effectively communicate point of view to management and cross-functional teams. A detail oriented approach- must pay close attention to details and error check own work. Ability to work independently and exercise independent judgment. Trustworthy with confidential information. Reliability (attendance and timeliness) important to ensure execution of deliverables.
PREFERRED: Customer service mindset and ability to work with internal “clients” around the company. Ability to cope with pressure and changing priorities with a focus on delivering results. Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel as well as the ability and eagerness to learn software applications (i.e. SAP, Hyperion Essbase, Power BI). Proactively initiates changes to improve work processes. Experience in protein, consumer products or foods-related industries is a plus. This person has day to day decision-making authority to resolve issues and problems as they occur. Extraordinary issues and problems will be discussed and resolved on a collaborative basis with his/her supervisor.
