Summary
This IT intern will be working with the Emerging Technology team on a project to migrate the company’s corporate Intranet to a new platform. This intern will be designing web pages in SharePoint Online, maintaining a detailed list of each Intranet site’s migration status, and following up with end-users to ensure the transfer of content has been completed accurately. This intern will need to have excellent problem-solving skills and creativity to remediate site features in a modern way, while adhering to best-practices.
An ideal candidate is a driven professional who can communicate effectively both verbally and written and should have a high attention to detail. They should have an interest in web design and business process improvement. Position starts as soon as candidate available. Ideally, this person would work 15-20 hours a week. Hours are flexible and alternative workspace options are available upon manager approval.
What You Will Learn & Main Responsibilities
Maintaining a list of active Intranet site migrations
Assisting/training Intranet site owners to make updates to their sites
Following up with site owners to ensure migrations are completed in a timely manner
Creating and designing web pages in SharePoint Online
Reimagining outdated site features in a sustainable way
Leading cutovers for customer approved Intranet sites
Minimum Education
Must be a rising Junior or Senior currently pursuing a Bachelors degree at an accredited university in a relevant field of study. Information Systems, Information Technology or related majors preferred.
Must have a minimum of a 3.0 GPA or higher
Experience Requirements
Above average knowledge of MS Office
High attention to detail
Strong desire to learn along with professional drive
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to take initiative and work alone at times
Experience Preferred
3.25 GPA or higher is highly preferred
Completed at least 2 college-level programming classes (HTML/Visual Basic/etc.)
Completed SAP classes
