Summary

We are looking for a dedicated and responsible candidate to be a Maintenance Mechanic for our Edible Oil Refinery in Salisbury, MD.

The overall purpose of this position is to perform assigned maintenance duties within scope of classification to include equipment repairs, preventative maintenance , emergency breakdown and equipment failure

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Perform routine preventative maintenance on mechanical equipment

  • Diagnose failures to mechanical equipment and make repairs

  • Rebuild mechanical equipment

  • Fabricate sheet metal

  • Compile and complete paperwork relative to repairs to include but not limited to work orders, time cards, and job cards

  • Perform all work within safety guidelines established by local, state and federal agencies as well as company policies

  • Respond to calls after hours and on weekends to repair mechanical equipment failure

  • Perform other assigned tasks as assigned

Minimum Education

High School graduate or GED preferred

Experience Requirements

1-2 years experience needed

Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements

  • Able to move freely throughout the AgriBusiness facility

  • Climbing vertical heights (1-150')

  • Climbing vertical ladders

  • carrying tools and equipment (0-100 pounds)

  • Exposure to extreme temperatures (0-100 Degrees F)

  • Humidity (0-100%)

  • Noise (50db to 100db)

  • Chemicals (SDS sheets available)

  • Must be able to wear protective equipment
