Summary
Perdue AgriBusiness is seeking a PLC Technician at the Edible Oil Refinery in Salisbury, MD . This position will be primarily responsible for installing, maintaining. documenting and repairing the PLC systems at the Oil Refinery.
The schedule for this position will be Monday through Friday, day shift.
Full-time, benefit eligible position
Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Perform routine preventative maintenance on PLC systems
Diagnose failures to PLC systems and make repairs
Compile and complete paperwork relative to repairs and inspections
Install, program and upgrade PLC systems
Respond to emergency breakdowns and equipment failures
Train, develop, and mentor lower level PLC Technicians
Adhere to all safety requirements
Minimum Education
- BS Degree (Information Technology, Industrial Technology, Electronics) preferred
Experience Requirements
4 plus years. Reading, writing and analytical skills are required
Must have all personal tools at all times and be able to use and operate hand tools and industrial shop equipment
Requires knowledge of math that relates to performing maintenance activities
Able to make correct calculations when completing mechanical, electrical or electronic maintenance repairs. Able to verify dimensions and diagrams for assembly, disassembly and troubleshooting purposes. Able to determine clearance of parts to ensure conformance to specification using precision measuring instruments
Valid driver's license.
Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements
Able to move freely throughout the Oil Refinery facility to include climbing vertical heights (0 - 150'), carrying equipment or tools (50-100 pounds). Exposed to extreme temperatures (0-100 Degrees Fahrenheit), humidity, (0 - 100%), noise (50db to 100db) and chemicals (SDS sheets available). Must be able to wear protective equipment to include self contained breathing apparatus.
