The Senior Auditor is responsible for performing individual internal audit projects, as part of the total Audit Services Audit Plan. This responsibility includes developing audit scopes, performing audit procedures, and preparing audit reports reflecting the results of the work performed. Work performed will include coverage of functional and operating units and focusing on financial and operational processes. Additionally, the senior auditor performs follow-up on the status of outstanding internal audit issues. The senior auditor will also assist in completing compliance testing of the Company’s SOX/Internal Controls Program and championing internal control and corporate governance concepts throughout the business.
Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Develops programs and enhances existing programs to execute the scope and objectives of audits, e.g., evaluates internal controls, process effectiveness, operational processes, etc.
Performs the audits, writes the reports, reviews results and makes recommendations to management, obtains management responses and follows up where necessary.
Perform compliance testing of the Company’s SOX/Internal Controls Program
May train and supervise staff as required to perform audits, write reports, interfaces with management as appropriate and follows up.
Complete special projects and other reporting duties as assigned by the Director of Audit Services and/or the Vice President of Audit Services.
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or Business with a concentration in Accounting.
- 3 - 5 years experience in Accounting/Auditing with supervisory and/or management experience. May require travel to plant locations.
4-8 years of relevant experience in Accounting/Auditing with supervisory and/or management experience highly preferred.
Experience in either Poultry or Agribusiness.
CPA, CIA or CMA a plus
