Summary
The Senior Manager of Talent Management formulates, manages, and coordinates organization-wide efforts to ensure that performance management and talent development programs are designed and managed using a data-driven focus to set priorities that are aligned to ongoing strategic imperatives. The position is responsible for the design, execution, and maintenance of effective programs for the full employee lifecycle, including retention, promotion, succession planning, leadership development and performance management.
This position is based in Salisbury, MD at the Perdue Learning University. Relocation packages are available for eligible candidates.
Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Provide professional expertise and support in the design, development and implementation of the talent review and succession process that is required to achieve business goals and results in the creation of an internal bench of top talent.
Working with the CHRO and CEO, support the facilitation of the TM process and succession planning for the Key Leadership Group.
Collaborate on the architecture of the Talent Platform.
Collect, analyze, and maintain data gathered to inform targeted leadership development (e.g., diversity hiring and succession planning).
Research and assist in the development of TM training programs that focus on enabling the workforce to achieve improvements with priority organizational concerns.
Develop, initiate, and maintain effective programs for workforce retention, promotion, and succession planning.
Manage the maintenance and execution of the performance management system, including standards of performance and performance evaluation instruments.
Create and maintain an environment of equal employment opportunity, diversity, and competitive advantage in support of the company's diversity and inclusion strategic plan.
Ensure that organization-wide talent management and TM initiatives are focused and aligned on improving operational and program efficiencies and effectiveness.
Work closely with the HRIS manager to collect and coordinate aggregate data for talent pool and translate those data into insights through data analysis that drives deliberate action plans at the appropriate levels.
Select and manage external vendors and budget
Build, execute and manage a high potential leadership development program to create a strong talent bench.
Design, develop and maintain a mentor/sponsor program
Minimum Education and Experience
Bachelors Degree and 5+ years of relevant experience.
Experience should include:
5+ years talent management and/or organizational development experience
5+ years leading project teams and/or staff of training and talent resources and developing projects with broad/global scope and reach.
Demonstrated experience with strategic planning and forging alliances. Leadership in strategic planning for talent solutions.
Experience leading complex, and cross-functional projects for high business impact in multiple languages.
Experience building competency models and aligning learning and talent initiatives to model.
Knowledge of industry TM best practices and technologies (SAP, Success Factors).
Experience designing, building, and leading change management strategies. Strong business acumen.
Broad knowledge of business initiatives and indicators, along with the use of performance consulting and "best in class" talent strategies to impact business results.
Maintains knowledge of current and future trends in talent technologies and systems.
Plans and executes projects and manages a portfolio of projects on an ongoing basis.
Additional skills and competencies include:
Excellent consulting, negotiation, presentation, and customer service skills; able to influence without direct authority.
Builds and maintains relationships with internal and external business partners, including academic institutions, external consortiums and workforce development boards, and other professional organizations.

Experience Preferred
Masters Degree
CPLP, HPI, SPHR or other professional certifications
Experience with a sizeable company with advanced talent management culture (process, technology, branding, line management coaching, employee ownership) in a plant/manufacturing environment
Experience in a multi language/cultural environment
Matrix and national organization
Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements
Position is mostly sedentary but may require occasional moving to other offices or buildings.
May need to move light equipment or supplies from one place to another.
May need to access files, supplies and equipment.
Work activity is in an office, open-partitioned, cubicle environment.
