Performs a variety of more complex general accounting tasks supporting general ledger, plant accounting, live accounting, payroll, etc., with interpreting and processing financial or statistical records. This person coordinates weekly Perdue broiler producer payments by ensuring the accuracy of the data and reviewing the edits prior to payment.

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Coordinates and performs all tasks associated with generating producer settlements on a weekly basis. Pay and collection of receivables. Reviews and audits process for designated locations/operations.

  • Performs all Producer maintenance such as bank assignments, Perdue notes, and personal account activity.

  • Maintain filing related to Producer’s contract files and settlement files.

  • Assist in the processing of Ingredient Invoices.

  • Performs Producer File Audits

  • Coordinates and performs all tasks related to electronic file storage

  • Provides ad hoc settlement analysis as needed for department.

  • Processes metered fuel invoices and ensures that fuel usage is accurate for the settlement process.

Minimum Education

High School Diploma or equivalent -- AA degree in Accounting or a related discipline is highly preferred.

Experience Requirements

  • 4 plus years related experience.

  • Requires PC spreadsheet and data entry skills.

  • Must be detail oriented and able to multi-task.

  • Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel and Outlook; excellent communication, administrative and organizational skills.
