Summary
The Soy Crushing Crew Leader is responsible for the processing operation oversight and to ensure associate safety and compliance at all times.
Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Assist the facility manager in managing the operations
Ensure working conditions for all associates are in compliance with the safety guidelines established by local, state, and federal agencies as well as company policies
Assist the facility manager in coordinating and directing the daily activities of crews and teams for Soy Crushing functions
Train, develop, and follow up to ensure team members are able to perform required operational tasks
Cover positions when, and wherever needed, to avoid any undue hardship on other associates
Daily production reporting
Perform job within established CGMP’s
Minimum Education
High school or equivalent
Experience Requirements
2 to 3 years of Soy Crushing Operations experience. Knowledge of manufacturing technologies. Knowledge of safety programs and requirements. Knowledge of environmental programs and requirements. Understanding of standard software applications. Strong communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills. Basic leadership skills.
Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements
Able to move freely throughout the facility to include climbing vertical heights (0 - 150'), carrying tools and equipment (0-50 pounds), exposure to extreme temperatures (0-100 Degrees Fahrenheit), humidity, (0 - 100%), noise (50db to 100db) and chemicals (MSDS sheets available). Must be able to wear protective equipment.
