Perdue AgriBusiness is seeking a full-time Specialty Crops & Refined Oil Coordinator in Salisbury, MD . This position is responsible for supporting the Refined Oils daily and weekly business transactions. The role is responsible for assisting the execution of the company’s input/output efficiently and cost effectively.
Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Processes open ticket applications, customer invoicing and disseminate necessary information between PAB Sales, Credit, Plant and Transportation.
Coordinates order entry, resolves detention issues involving credit and/or logistics.
Will coordinate with PAB transportation to manage delivery adjustments, detentions and backup logistics coordinator - for cross function task duplication.
Work with business unit management to develop and communicate accurate and meaningful information on customer management including customer credit, certificates and customer setup documentation.
Enter and create customer contracts based on trader provided information.
Responsible for customs documentation and releasing loads for shipment.
Enter contract and order information and update contract maintenance (adjustments from basis to priced) at the direction of the Sales Team.
Prepares invoices for certain customers that are prepay, ACH and will work with traders to resolve invoicing issues.
Prepares weekly broker reports, AR and various customer reports. Manages inbound Palm invoices.
High School or equivalent
4 plus years of related experience. Proven experience in a clerical position. Excellent office, customer service and written and oral communication skills. Ability to multi-task in a busy work environment.
Prior work experience in operations/logistics/forwarding for agricultural products and a basic knowledge of domestic grain/oilseed/product markets as they pertain to supply chain flows. Knowledge of customer invoicing and payment terms. Basic knowledge of the US regulatory framework as it applies to import/export.
Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements
Position is mostly sedentary but may require occasional moving to other offices or buildings. May need to move light equipment or supplies from one place to another. May need to access files, supplies and equipment. Work activity is in an office, open-partitioned, cubicle environment.
