Perdue AgriBusiness is seeking a Superintendent for our Edible Oil Refinery in Salisbury, MD . This position will be responsible for managing production operations within the Edible Oil Refinery facility to ensure profitability.

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership for the oil refinery production, maintenance staff and employees responsible for sanitation to include training and developing the staff to meet the needs of the business.

  • Provide Leadership for safety programs to ensure safe working conditions for all associates and compliance with all local, state and federal requirements. Manage facility programs with the purpose of ensuring the food safety and legality of manufactured product.

  • Provide leadership for environmental programs to ensure compliance with all local, state and federal requirements.

  • Manage production operations to ensure maximum equipment and personnel utilization.

  • Manage product quality to ensure customer requirements and specifications are attained.

  • Manage routine and preventative maintenance programs for the production operations to ensure efficient operation.

Minimum Education

  • BS Degree (Agriculture, Management, Business or Engineering)

  • 10 years of work experience can be substituted for degree

Experience Requirements

8 to 10 years of experience. Understanding of manufacturing technologies. Understanding of safety programs and requirements. Understanding of environmental programs and requirements. Understanding of standard software applications. Strong communication, analytical and interpersonal skills.

Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements

Able to move freely throughout the facility to include climbing vertical heights (0 - 150'), exposure to extreme temperatures (0-100 Degrees Fahrenheit), humidity, (0 - 100%), noise (50db to 100db – hearing protection required) and chemicals (MSDS sheets available). Required to travel to remote AgriBusiness facilities and customer locations. Able to communicate on the telephone and use standard office equipment.
