Perdue AgriBusiness is seeking a Trade Execution Planner position in Salisbury, MD . This position will be responsible for supporting the endeavors of the trade execution and logistics team. He/she will be tasked with assisting with executing the company’s internal and external rail trades efficiently and cost effectively.
Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Make container meal sales into some markets.
Manage export container program.
Support on vessel exports - duties include contract generation, manage contract signatures retrieval and upload into system, manage contract status spreadsheet. Learn underlying contract formats.
Support interior facing export logistics at Chesapeake in coordination with RK and CG - work with domestic desks/commercial personnel such as area managers/operations to ensure that stem is available timely for exports, manage forecasts for inbound grain/meal/products (including soy oil) to support sales program, maintain and share Norfolk stock evolution sheets.
Support Intl team with decision support tools such as grain/ oilseed /crush analytics and price forecasts.
Learn fundamentals of bulk freight trading - manage CPs, ensure CPs are fully executed, maintain freight position matrix, promptly report CP/recaps/ loss incidents to corporate for insurance purposes, seek proof of insurance from FOB and CFR buyers, maintain spreadsheet and report to corporate.
Learn concepts of export sales/international trading with the ultimate goal being to be able to make sales independently.
PREFERRED: Undergraduate degree. Prior experience in agricultural field or supply chain management.

Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements
Position is mostly sedentary but may require occasional moving to other offices or buildings. May need to move light equipment or supplies from one place to another. May need to access files, supplies and equipment. Work activity is in an office, open-partitioned, cubicle environment.
