The Fleet Transportation Supervisor is responsible for the management and administration of fleet drivers and dispatch operations for Perdue Foods and Agri Business. Perdue Transportation operates 24/7.
Hours: Night shift
Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Oversees daily dispatch operations, ensuring the meeting and exceeding of customer expectations and service goals.
Oversee dispatcher and administrative associates.
Oversee fleet drivers.
Responsible for cost, people, and on time service.
Responsible daily, weekly, and monthly KPI & Cost reports.
Responsible for driver safety program and compliance to include training, safety compliance and accident investigation.
Work rotational weekends.
Support strategic direction of the department and company.
Other duties as assigned.
High School Graduate
Preferred: Associates Degree
Prior supervisor/management in transportation, distribution or logistics. Qualified candidates must have excellent organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills; general knowledge of FMC DOT guidelines, and detailed geographical knowledge of the Eastern U.S
3-5 years of transportation, distribution or logistics experience; strong interpersonal, communication and project management skills
Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements
Flexible work schedules (both days and hours) to handle weather, holidays or other service disruptions.
24 hours, 7 days a week on-call basis for matters involving customer service or safety of drivers.
Ability to travel to and from facility locations.
Position is mostly sedentary but may require occasional moving to other offices or buildings.
Exposed to office equipment, outside weather conditions
