Summary

The Bilingual Associate Relations Representative is responsible for establishing strong, positive working relationships with managers, supervisors and associates who work at the Sioux Center processing plant. The ARR provides guidance and support on company policies and procedures and participates in negotiations to ensure a good relationship between employees and the company. The Associate Relations Representative strives to interpret and ensure compliance within state and federal laws. Interested? Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Schedules and leads new hire orientations utilizing company approved format and materials.

  • Manages the Peer Review / Management Review process.

  • Provides coaching and training to supervisory personnel (i.e. adherence to company policies and procedures).

  • Identifies, designs, and implements new methods to increase retention.

  • Weekly, monthly, quarterly, annual reporting as required.

  • Assists with budget preparation and data management to include expense report preparation and monitoring.

  • Effectively manages special projects as assigned by management.

  • Travel up to 25%

  • Additional duties as assigned

Minimum Education

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Labor Relations or related field.

  • SHRM HR certification a plus.

Experience Requirements

  • Must be bilingual - conversational Spanish and English.

  • 3 to 5 years related work experience in an HR function.

  • Strong business acumen and accomplished at establishing positive HR business partnerships.

  • Must have a solid understanding of state and federal employment laws as related to EEOC, OFCCP, ADA, DOL, etc.

  • Experience auditing and updating Affirmative Action Plans.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook necessary.

Experience Preferred

  • Timekeeping systems experience (i.e., Kronos)

  • SAP HCM experience

  • HR Generalist experience in a manufacturing environment

Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements

  • Position is mostly sedentary but may require occasional moving to other offices or buildings.

  • When in a plant environment: Exposure primarily consists of wet and moist floors which include metal and plastic grating surfaces.

  • May be exposed to temperatures of 28 degrees to 100 degrees Fahrenheit with both ambient and 100% humidity. May handle product 25 degrees to 50 degrees Fahrenheit. May be exposed to noise ranges of 50 db. to 110 db.

  • May be exposed to all chemicals used in poultry, food, processing facility.

  • Must wear and use protective and safety equipment required for the job as directed by the Company.
