Summary
The Electrical Maintenance Manager is responsible for providing positive and thoughtful professional leadership to electrical technical associates while also maintaining all electrical operating systems and infrastructure within two (2) Iowa Perdue Farms, Inc. facilities. The Electrical Maintenance Manager will also oversee all electrical projects, cost efficiencies, process development, equipment installations, modifications, and overall facilities electrical maintenance.
Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Hires, trains, leads, motivates and develops the electrical maintenance staff to meet the needs of the electrical maintenance department.
Ensures safety working conditions for all associates.
Engages in all associate safety training requirements as well as participation in all safety related tasks to maintain top tier safety standards.
Performs routine LOTO audits.
Conducts routine MCC inspections to satisfy compliance standards.
Manages the corrective, preventive and predictive electrical maintenance programs for assigned areas.
Ensures electrical maintenance programs and records are maintained for all assigned areas.
Maintains facilities to NEC code requirements
Evaluates proposals from vendors and manages external mechanical contractors.
Ensures maintenance projects comply with all local, state and federal environmental requirements and regulations.
Willingness to travel between Sioux Center and Sioux City facilities as needed.
Minimum Education
High school diploma or GED.
BS degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Agricultural Engineering preferred.
Applicable experience will be considered in lieu of BS degree.
Experience Requirements
10 - 12 years of related experience in the following areas:
maintenance management systems and processes
preventative and predictive maintenance programs
manufacturing technologies and processes
use of standard software applications
Additional experience/skill requirements include:
Strong communication, math, organizational, interpersonal and analytical skills.
Strong safety standard track record.
Previous supervisor experience.
Willingness to learn new equipment and job tasks.
Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements
Able to move freely throughout the assigned facilities to include climbing vertical heights (0 - 150').
Exposure to extreme temperatures (0 - 100 degrees Fahrenheit), humidity (0 - 100%),
Exposure to noise (50db to 100db hearing protection required)
Exposure to chemicals (MSDS sheets available).
Exposure to wet and moist floors which include metal and plastic grating surfaces.
Ability to use standard office equipment.
