Summary

Responsible for planning corrective, preventive and predictive maintenance work orders using the Maximo. Assists in the development of reliability-based maintenance strategy, based on preventive and predictive maintenance. Responsible for selecting and describing the most efficient and optimal way to perform the job. Optimize expenditures and technician productivity through best practice planning methods that support best practice scheduling and ensure safe, reliable plant operation. The Planner works jointly with procurement to obtain an optimized total cost of materials and services, within specification requirements that supports safe work practices and plant safety and operational objectives. Responsible for selecting and describing the most efficient and optimal way to perform the job.

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Complies with applicable safety rules and regulations.

  • Strong PC skills, including Windows, Word, Visio, Excel, Access and Project.

  • Continuously improves parts descriptions and job plans with research and feedback

  • Prepares regular and special reports.

  • Performs other related duties and projects as assigned at the discretion of the immediate supervisor.

  • Provide materials, tools, services and equipment through requisitioning, storehouse stock, purchasing or rentals.

Minimum Education

  • HS Diploma or GED Equivalent

  • 2+ years of maintenance planning/scheduling experience in a manufacturing and production.

Experience Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years previous experience planning in industry.

  • Experience working with the CMMS (Maximo preferred).

  • Proven ability to work in teams, including training and facilitation.

  • High level of attention to detail, demonstrated by project successes.

  • Strong PC skills, including Windows, Word, Visio, Excel, Access and Project.

Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements

May need to move equipment occasionally.

May need to access files, supplies and equipment.

Position requires an associate to have the ability to move throughout the complex and all facilities. .

When in a plant environment: Exposure primarily consists of wet and moist floors which include metal and plastic grating surfaces. May be exposed to temperatures of 28 degrees to 100 degrees Fahrenheit with both ambient and 100% humidity. May handle product 25 degrees to 50 degrees Fahrenheit. May be exposed to noise ranges of 50 db to 110 db. May be exposed to all chemicals used in pork processing facility.

Must wear and use protective and safety equipment required for the job as directed by the Company.
