Summary
The Purchasing Clerk completes SAP and MAXIMO entry of purchase orders, receiving, transfers and issues on computer. Complete weekly and monthly inventory reconciliation. Helps maintain an accurate inventory and relaying accurate cost to accounting, maintains files and other correspondences. Serves as a back-up to Purchasing Manager and the associate working in the ingredients cage.
Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities
SAP and Maximo entry of purchase orders, receiving, issues, and returns to and from other departments. Orders trays and keeps track inventory of the trays on a daily basis. Orders CO2 and keeps inventory of the CO2. Makes labels for other departments.
Does some regular purchasing and, in absence of purchasing manager, must be able to make decisions
Help to maintain an accurate inventory, do weekly and monthly inventory reconciliation, and relay accurate costs involved to accounting.
Maintain files.
Review and resolve blocked invoices.
Serve as back-up to the Purchasing Manager and the ingredients cage associate.
Must have a forklift license or be able to acquire one in a timely manner.
All other tasks as assigned by management.
Minimum Education
High School or equivalent
Experience Requirements
- Strong reading, communication, math, writing, and analytical skills are required. Computer knowledge, data entry skills.
Experience Preferred
2-4 years of related experience.
Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements
Position is in production facility.
May need to move light equipment or supplies from one place to another.
May need to access files, supplies and equipment.
When in a plant environment: Exposure primarily consists of wet and moist floors which include metal and plastic grating surfaces. May be exposed to temperatures of 28 degrees to 100 degrees Fahrenheit with both ambient and 100% humidity. May handle product 25 degrees to 50 degrees Fahrenheit. May be exposed to noise ranges of 50 db to 110 db. May be exposed to all chemicals used in poultry, food, processing facility. Must wear and use protective and safety equipment required for the job as directed by the Company.
