Panorama Meats offers an extensive line of both organic and never/ever line of grass-fed and grass-finished beef products.
The purpose of the Accounting Clerk is to perform daily, weekly and monthly accounting functions for AP-AR, prepare journal entries, reconcile balance sheet accounts appointed by supervisor, calculates producer payments, enters debit and credit memos, enters accounts payable invoices, lot attachments and enter production harvest fabs. Will assist accounting department as needed.
Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Enters vendor invoices into the accounting software for payment and confirms invoices are properly approved and coded to general ledger accordingly.
Enters credit memos and debit memos for Accounts Receivables. Any short/long payments will need to be researched, communicated to the proper individuals and resolved. Collections of unpaid invoices. Monthly statements to customers. Assists Sales Support Person when needed. This position will be the backup for the SSP.
Producer payables and productions with lot attachments for AR invoices produced by SSP. Process production reports for harvest fabs.
Various accounting duties as needed from the Senior Accountant.
Requires strong communication, math, writing and analytical skills.
Office administration, clerical and computer skills with a strong working knowledge of Excel, Pivot Tables, Word, and other office software.
Sage experience is a plus.
Education & Experience Preferred
Associates degree in accounting or business, or 3 years’ experience in lieu of education.
Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements
Position is mostly sedentary but may require occasional moving to other offices or buildings.
May need to move light equipment or supplies from one place to another.
May need to access files, supplies and equipment.
Work activity is in an office, open-partitioned, cubicle environment.
