Perdue Farms, Inc. Beef Production and Sales Support Manager - Panorama Meats in Westminster, Colorado

Panorama Meats was started in 2002 by a small group of California ranchers who believed in their methods of raising grass-fed and grass-finished cattle. We are now supporting over 50 ranches throughout the U.S., dedicated to sustainable production systems. Panorama Meats offers an extensive line of both organic and never/ever line of grass-fed and grass-finished beef products.


Scheduling and sales support duties will include managing the customer product order placement process and then scheduling production of the current and future orders. This includes entering customer orders, determining raw input needs, production scheduling, inventory management, liaison with plant personnel and communicate potential issues with product supply as appropriate to Panorama customers and team members. Position also entails weekly coordination with other aspects of beef operations, customer support, sales, logistics, forecasting and allocation communications. Prefer Denver HQ office based, but for the right experience, can be off-site work-from-home office situation.

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Enters incoming orders, ensuring accuracy of item codes, case quantities, prices, ship-to location and ship dates before order deadlines.

  • Verifies accuracy of order with customer by providing order confirmation no later than COB the day after order is received. Notifies customer in writing of any inaccuracies on their purchase order.

  • Monitors order patterns and assist customers with their ordering process.

  • Communicates deviations from order quantities, prices or delivery dates to customers in a timely and professional manner.

  • Distributes weekly price lists. Provides written notification to customers for price changes that require extended lead times.

  • Maintains regular contact with assigned sales directors, regional managers and accounts.

  • Communicate with customers to sell long and close-dated product.

  • Assists sales with customer promotion management and other administrative forms as requested.

  • Maintains assigned customer files to ensure accuracy of contact information and price levels.

  • Schedules production for product categories and/or plants assigned.

  • Manage packaging inventory at co-packers to ensure no disruption to production

  • Manage beef inventory to balance order fulfillment and monitor dated product

  • Coordinate inbound raw materials for scheduled production

Experience Requirements

  • 3-5 years’ experience working with manufacturing processes in the food production business, meat sector preferred.

  • Basic knowledge of meat cuts, yields, production spreadsheets

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel spreadsheets

  • Exemplary time management, organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to work within a team, attention to detail, excellent verbal and written skills

  • Must exhibit politeness, confidence, tact, empathy and diplomacy while dealing with complex problems

  • Ability to travel when necessary, must have a valid driver’s license and be able to use personal car for occasional local tasks.
